INSPIRED BY THE RESPONSES MADE OVER HIS COOKING, TRAE WAS MOTIVATED TO BRAND A NAME TO ACCOMMODATE THE FOOD BEING SERVED. SINCE TRAE COMES FROM A LARGE FAMILY ON BOTH SIDES (FATHER & MOTHER), SMALL MEALS WERE UNHEARD OF. AFTER SEEING THE LOOK ON SO MANY OF THE SOLDIERS FACES AND ON THE FACES OF OTHERS WHO ENJOYED HIS FOOD AND FESTIVE GATHERINGS, THE BRAND NAME FESTIVALS WAS BORN. THE FORMAL BUSINESS ITSELF WOULD NOT BE ESTABLISHED UNTIL YEARS AFTER SEPARATION FROM MILITARY SERVICE.
IN 2018, TRAE MET HIS BUSINESS AND LIFE PARTNER ANDREW CONNOR. BUSINESS WAS DISCUSSED FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR. IN 2019, THE FORMAL BUSINESS WAS ERECTED UNTIL THE COVID19 PANDEMIC, CAUSING BUSINESSES AND ESTABLISHMENTS WORLDWIDE TO CLOSE. THINGS WERE PUT ON HOLD. IN 2022, BOTH ANDY AND TRAE WENT FULL SPEED AHEAD AND FORMED WHAT IS NOW: FESTIVALS DOWN-HOME KITCHEN” WHERE EVERYONE EATS,” SPECIALIZING IN SOULFOOD, COUNTRY COOKING, HOME-STYLE COOKING, BBQ, CARIBBEAN CUISINE, AND MUCH, MUCH MORE.
